I offer many different services, please get in touch with questions and requirements, I will travel to you from my base in Talgarth, and can work on a one on one basis or with a small group.

TUITION AND BUYING A HORSE

I am happy to teach you to teach your horse, I can work with you and your horse together, suggesting, explaining and demonstrating different techniques that will work for you. I can also teach you the groundwork you need to improve your relationship with your horse, teach them to listen to you on the ground, be respectful of you and your space and clicker training techniques.

BUYING A HORSE

You could be looking to buy your first horse, or just buy a new one that will suit you. I can help with the process in whatever way necessary. I can facilitate it from start to finish, search for a few horses that could fit the bill, try them for you, whittle them down, accompany you to try them for yourself. Negotiate on your behalf and take care of travel arrangements. Or I can assist you in part, for example try and assess your potential horse and give you some guidance through the process. STARTING AND ADDITIONAL WORK

Halter starting youngsters, backing horses (this includes all groundwork!!) Re-backing a horse who has been out of work for a while. Miles put on your horse to gain some experience and build their confidence.

DESENSITISING AND CONFIDENCE BUILDING

Creating a horse that has confidence while out on a trail is key. You need to have faith in your horse that he will not only look after you, but look after himself and avoid is flight instinct. This comes from exposure and desensitising them to things they deem as a threat.

CORRECTIVE BEHAVIOR

If you are having troubles with your horse - could be loading, on the ground, hacking out, napping, spooking or general uncivilised behavior please get in touch.
